Open Arts Choir

Mondays 7.00 – 9.00 pm

Inclusive best describes the Choir. It features people with disabilites and those without, from every section of the community. The age range is extensive, from seventeen to over seventy. Blind people work alongside people with mental health difficulties and people with learning disabilities. The members are united by their love of song.

Open Arts Choir on Last Choir Standing

The choir meets every Monday night from 7.15-9.15pm in Belfast. The first Monday in the month is ‘Big Choir Night’ which is open to anyone with a love of singing. Subsequent Monday nights are rehearsals with the ‘Open Arts Community Choir’ (sometimes referred to as The Festival Choir) – this is an auditioned group of singers who tackle more challenging music and compete in choral festivals etc.

If you would like to come along to one of our Big Choir Nights, please phone Beverley Whyte (Music Director) on 90 312515. The first Big Choir Night is on Monday 7th September 2009, 7.15-9.15pm in Divis Community Centre, when auditions for the Festival Choir will also take place. If you are interested in auditioning for the Festival Choir please phone Beverley for more information.
